Scarlett is interested in the collective conscious and memory. Her work explores how ancient processes may better serve modern times: zero and less waste design principles and natural dyes and using only biodegradable materials have become commitments in her practice.
She has experience working with textiles, darkroom photography and film/video. Scarlett is an intern at threeASFOUR, interned as a studio assistant for sculptor Brian Rochefort, and for Jeannie Sui Wonders on a video for Sandy Liang.


Scarlett Meza is a Brown-RISD Dual Degree student ('28) majoring in Textiles at the Rhode Island School of Design & Philosophy, Policy, and Economics (PPE) & French at Brown. Much of her work deals with the California desert, femininity and performance, and most recently, sheddings and artifacts.
