Research completed in a RISDxHyundai sponsored Practicum, industrially knit fabrics as a proposal for stronger biodegradable elastic waistband. Utilizing knit structure rather than synthetic materials to allow for stretch, I tested several different structures of knits and fibers knitted industrially on both Double Bed and Stoll machines.
