Shot in the Rhode Island Desert.
Meditation on artifacts shed and left behind in the desert to be covered by sand. Inspired by an area I call home, Slab City/the Salton Sea, outside San Diego where I grew up. Machine knitted gloves, socks, and logwood dyed hair. No synthetic fabrics, including thread, used. Logwood reacts to PH and shows sweat, a photograph of the performance. My entire childhood, I was always discouraged from cutting my hair; this was my first time doing so.
